Team Up For Non Profit's mission is to build capacity for nonprofit organizations by cultivating a new generation of engaged supporters through the power of music and social media. Our Gigs4Good benefits raise funds and awareness for the nonprofits we partner with and provide an entertaining and accessible opportunity for people to support organizations making a difference.
They put together up to 6 events a year, and if my schedule allows, you'll see me at EVERY ONE!
Seattle Living Room Shows is a unique way to see a live concert. All shows take place in a home setting or a "secret" Seattle venue where you will be face to face with some of the best up and coming musicians from around the country. They provide an intimate setting for both musician & listener, which they feel brings the music back to where it should be. Raw. Emotional. Powerful and exposed.
If my schedule allows, I tend not to miss too many of these. You'll see my photos on display at these venues. They truly are the BEST way to see & hear LIVE music. Are you on the LIST?
Northwest LoveFest was born from the idea that music festivals should have a positive affect on humanity and the environment we all share. Their goal is to demonstrate the power of music and art that is created with positive intentions and to feature the particular ways that alternative energy can be used to power the performances. Not only do they exhibit these differences, they also raise awareness of social problems and pledge to be carbon neutral while being mindful of our waste.
Board Member ('10 - '12), as media liaison/lead photographer/volunteer, I donated all of my time to photograph this festival and any related pre-show events. I edited as many photos as I could in order to give a full representation of the days' events. (For past festivals, this included over 200 shots in 2010, over 600 in 2011, and over 1000 shots in 2012.) Lovefest is currently on indefinite hiatus.
Seattle Night Out Radio is a group of dedicated local music fans never cease to amaze me. What they have been able to do in such a short time is astonishing. They play local music FOR FREE (local bands-submit your music for FREE!), and since it's internet radio, they are able to broadcast this music world-wide, broadening musicians fan bases. They also try to make it easier for local bands to get quality information on how to build their band's business by hosting music industry workshops. Past workshop topics: Booking a Tour and The Ins & Outs of Social Media. They are currently working on bringing a regional music conference to Seattle in near future!
They are also the founders/organizers of The Seattle Tweet Drive. This is a one night only music event where they raise monies for a local children's charity, "Treehouse Kids". I have had the privilege to work with these people, and photograph various events that they host. I also donated my photography services for one of their prize packages for their 2011,2012 & 2013 "Jammin' Challenge", (Their version of a Seattle "Battle of the bands").

I donate my time & photography to the following organizations:
The Melodic Caring Project: is a registered 501(c)3 Not-For-Profit that combines music and technology to stream live concerts to kids and teens in the hospital. You can find some of my photos on their website, and tagged on their Facebook page. With the tremendous support locally & nationally, this program hopes to expand into other cities (Nashville & LA) soon. Be sure to check out the testimonials from the kids & family members who have had these shows streamed to them, proving music can make a difference.
